Power Contracts for $18 million Awarded

According to a resolution by the state entity, the companies Paso Ancho Hydro Power and Teribe Hydroecological SA. will attend to, in the period from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2024, the energy needs of the companies: Electricity Distribution Company Metro-Oeste SA, Electricity Distribution Company SA Chiriquí and Elektra Noreste SA.

According to a report, the company Paso Ancho Hydro Power was awarded 42,475 MWh, for a total of $4, 2 million, while the Teribe Hydroecological company were given 125,254 MWh for a total of $13.7 million.

Bidders are mostly foreign and include PA Consulting Smartbiz, Morgan Stanley, BNP Paribas, Deloitte and Indesa.
