Saongroup buys recruitment website in Central America

The Irish recruiter, which is jointly owned by telecoms entrepreneur Denis O'Brien and Cork businessman Leslie Buckley, is believed to have paid more than $3 million (€2.05 million) to acquire the business although no price was disclosed.

Tecoloco has operations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama and plans to open in Costa Rica before Christmas. The company numbers computer maker Dell, consumer goods group Unilever and financial services giant HSBC among its clients.

Irish online recruiter Saongroup.com has expanded its operations to central America with the acquisition of Tecoloco.com.

Digital job exchange launches in Costa Rica

Tecoloco.com's launch in Costa Rica will allow businesses and individuals to access 1.500 global job listings each week.

This company also operates in the other Central American countries, being a regional job exchange.

Its website receives some 400.000 visits each month and has experienced an annual growth of 60% since its creation.

1500 jobs at regional Virtual Fair

Saoungroup.com from Ireland, under its new subsidiary Tecoloco.com inaugurated its first employment fair "Colocate" via the internet.

The virtual event will be simultaneously carried out in Central America until October 1 on Tecoloco.com. Saoungroup.com is one of the seven biggest online recruiting companies, and is present in more than 20 countries.
