The multinational outsourcing service business is expected to start operations in the third quarter of 2011.

Thursday, July 14, 2011

StarTek, a leader in outsourcing customer service, has signed a contract for the operation of a new call center in San Pedro Sula.

The decision to settle in the country arose in response to a need from our customers, said Chad Carlson, President and CEO of StarTek. We have done very well with our call center in Costa Rica, so we decided to find another educated and bilingual population in the region, that also had a stable and democratic political system. This led finally to choosing Honduras. This is another step in our strategy to expand globally. "

The center will be located in the Altia Business Park in San Pedro Sula, the largest city in Honduras, which has more than 800 ,00 inhabitants and is home to higher education seven institutions.
