Telecommunications Cable Plant Inaugurated

With an investment of $35 million, the company Panduit, dedicated to the production of copper wire and fiber optics, has opened its second manufacturing plant in Costa Rica.

The 14,000 square meter plant manufactures industrial plastic cables. Located in Argentina, Grecia, it will provide jobs for 500 people in addition to the 850 already working in the other plant.

The company, that specializes in cable manufacturing for telecommunications, expects to open its plant expansion in July.

Elfinancierocr.com publishes in its website: "The expansion represents 150.000 square foot of construction..."

"Investment in the project is around $20 million and it is expected that 120 jobs will be created in administration, technology and operations."

Hospira Invests $ 21 Million in Costa Rica

The medical device maker made the investment by expanding its manufacturing plant.

The expansion of the plant in Global Park, Heredia, is expected to generate 250 new jobs.

The additional 11.000 Square Meters Hospira is adding to the 40,000 it already has, makes the building the center for making the infusion intravenous drug bomb.

Furniture Manufacturer Invests in Honduras

Ethan Allen Interiors has acquired a 164 thousand square foot manufacturing plant in Honduras.

The US–based company has decided to supplement its existing operations in Vermont, New Jersey, North Carolina and Mexico with the opening of a new factory in Honduras, which will supply the subsidiaries.

Oberg Medical will double its operations in Costa Rica
• The company will invest U.S. $2 million at its plant in the country, doubling its size and production capacity.
