The Maritime Authority is inviting expressions of interest for the project "Design and Development Plans of a Multipurpose Port in Baru."

The Panama Maritime Authority invites all companies with the appropriate skills and experience to submit relevant information in order to participate in the procurement of the project "Design and Development Plans of Multipurpose Port in Baru."

The final deliverables consist mainly of conceptual schemes, plant design, structural design, sections, elevations, perspectives and animations required for proper interpretation, approval and development of plans that will allow us to begin the construction phase of this valuable project.

Eligible firms must submit information about their company, the services they offer and successful experience in the design and construction of port infrastructure at major ports nationally and internationally. This tender will allow the participation of consortiums under the parameters established by law.

Three New Ports Projected in Panama

The Panama Maritime Authority is promoting the concession of two new ports on the Caribbean and one on the Atlantic, plus a shipyard in Colon.

The news was confirmed by Jorge Barakat Pitty, Deputy Administrator of the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP), who noted that "the three ports would be completely new and could be developed giving concession for the land and the sea bottom so entrepreneurs can develop the structure directly.”
