Tender for Power Transmission Lines for $14 million

The Electric Transmission Company of Panama (ETESA), is putting out to tender the delivery and construction of transmission lines for the Colon Phase II project.

The objectives of the project are to to strengthen the existing 115 kV transmission line from Bahia Las Minas - Panama, to provide interconnection points which will be installed in the Colon area and to provide robust and reliable transmission with a capacity of over 450MW. ETESA requires the construction of transmission lines as follows:

- Line Santa Rita - Cáceres: approximate length of 22km

- Santa Rita Line - Panama: approximate length 28 km

The deadline for submission of bids is January 24th 2012.

This international public tender consists of a single lot and includes:

Design and construction of approximately 12 kms of Transmission Line
138 KV double circuit between the Ticuantepe substation and the Centroamerica roundabout, located 5.5km from the Carretera a Masaya, which is where it will be connected to the El Periodista - Altamira de Anillo de Managua at 138 KVS.

Tender for Purchase of Steel Poles for $1.3 million

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad is putting out to tender the acquisition of steel poles to be used for transmission lines.

According to the specifications, the tender is for the purchase of steel poles for the transmission lines between La Caja - Coco - Garita, and spare parts.

Honduras Tenders Construction of Transmission Lines

October 2011

The National Electric Power Company is preparing a bid for the repair and construction of electric transmission lines for $400 million.

The announcement was made by the deputy of the state, Leonardo Deras, who added that the specifications also include the construction of additional substations in the country.
