Tocumen Postpones Furniture Tender

The administration of the airport terminal has suspended the tender planned for the 30 November for the acquisition of equipment for the north terminal.

Friday, December 2, 2011

In light of complaints presented by 10 of the 11 companies interested in participating, the administration has decided to postpone the creation of the tender so that it can review the wording of the conditions and specifications.

"Interested parties attested that the time given by the airport administrators was too short, and even indicated that the specifications were designed to benefit one of the participating companies. One of the companies requested that the seats and display furniture be put in a separate tender, as well as extending the time period for getting the furniture from 30 to 90 days”, reported Prensa.com.
