VI Competitiveness Forum in Panama

The National Competitiveness Center will hold for the sixth consecutive year, the National Competitiveness Forum, on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th October at the Hotel Inter Continental Playa Bonita.

In the opening ceremony, on October 27th , the keynote speech will be given by Luis Alberto Moreno, chief executive of Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

On Friday 28th government officials will speak about -among other things-challenges, achievements and progress relating to competitiveness, innovation, technology, education and justice.

The National Enterprise Council (CONEP in Spanish) will also participate, expounding upon their own expectations, from the standpoint of the private sector.

V National Competitiveness Forum in Panama

October 2010

Organized by the National Competitiveness Center the forum will take place on the 18th and 19th October.

The forum is a tool to create a scenario of convergence for public and private sectors in order to build partnerships and promote actions to increase competitiveness.

Panama to host competition forums

Panama is preparing to host the Latin American and Ibero-American competition forums.

The forums, which are to be coordinated by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), are to be held from September 10 through 12, said Pedro Meilán, who heads Panama's watchdog on competition and consumer affairs.

Panama holds forum to make companies more competitive

Leaders of Panama's private sector and the government are to hold their third annual National Forum on how to make the nation's industries more competitive.

The forum will be held in October, and in recent weeks the targets from last year's forum have been analyzed with a view to identifying those that have been achieved and those that have not.
