The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) plans to award two projects to promote tourism in the country in major markets, with an outlay of 140 million colones ($280 thousand), reported Elfinancierocr.com.
The granting of the concession will be between February and March, said Ireth Rodriguez, marketing director of the ICT. The deadline for bids is Thursday February 9th.
The tour operator who obtains the contract will carry out an online campaign and attend to international journalists who are to be invited to Costa Rica.
"The articles written by this means, are stories that generate a lot of credibility, since in many cases, journalists convey their experiences in the country, encouraging tourists to visit the destination. The effect is very positive, as it gives great exposure to the destination and its diversity such as the different tourism activities and lodging facilities that have been developed here", said Rodriguez.
