Industry saw revenues of $511 million in 2011, compared to $434 million in 2010.
Advertising in Costa Rica grew by 18% reporting revenues of more than $511 million in 2011, approximately $77 million more than last year, said the pollster Media Guru.
If the inflation of colones is included in the calculation, the real growth is 9.3 percent, reported ElFinancierocr.com. In 2010, gross income of the sector was $434 million.

Four advertising companies participated in the tender created by the Electoral Tribunal of Panama.
Participating companies were Publicis Fergo with $3.75 million; BYM SA Publicidad, at $3.74 million, In House Advertising, with $3.75 million and Cerebro JCM also with $3.75 million.

The Electoral Court of Panama is preparing to tender out the advertising campaign of the general election in 2014.
A press release by the Electoral Court reads:
About ten companies have responded to an invitation from the Electoral Tribunal to participate in a tender for an advertising campaign for the general election, to be launched in 2012 and concluding in 2014 with the election process.

The new Code of Advertising Standards aims to address aspects not covered in its predecessor, in particular the treatment of images of women and children, and environmental credentials.
Gabriela Melara's article in Laprensagrafica.com reports that: "As of today, Salvadoran advertising will be governed under a new Code of Advertising Standards, which will address issues that the previous (code) did not address clearly, as reported by members of the National Council of Advertising (CNP in Spanish)."

The advantage internet advertising has over traditional media, is that it is possible to objectively measure its impact, by counting the clicks that tell us that the reader is interested and needs more information about the product, service or brand on offer.

Advertising expenditure is abandoning traditional media, especially print newspapers and magazines, and instead turning to digital media, where results are concrete and objective, and where there is a superior return on investment.
A report published by eMarketer gives clear conclusions: The share of digital media in the advertising pie is growing at the expense of print media, in line with changes in the patterns of consumer behaviour change, which are not being reported in mainstream media, people are spending more time in front of screens connected to the Internet, where they enjoy more and better information, and interact with advertisers.

On July 29th and 30th representatives from advertising agencies and marketing companies will be attending "Festival Antigua" in Guatemala.
Organized by the Union of Advertising Agencies, it will bring together twelve international exhibitors.
