Panifresh has received the award for ‘Best Exporter of the Year’ from the Guatemalan Exporters Association (Agexport).
Under the ‘Agricultural Exporter’ category the award went to the El Injerto’ Farm, exporter of one of the best coffees in the world.

The agricultural company Agropecuaria Popoyán was given the award for 2010's "best exporter of the year".
Agropecuaria Popoyán specializes in growing and exporting fruit and vegetables cultivated in greenhouses and certified according to the ISO 9001-2000 standard.

Authorities seek to install new forms of tourism development in the country, exploiting the natural and cultural features of the country’s coffee plantations.
Called “Geo-Tourism Strategy”, the plan comprises 10 main items, which include “strengthening and contextualizing the number of options offered to tourists, analyzing what do tourists demand and rescuing and adding value to the biodiversity of the country’s coffee forests”.

Grupo Asesor en Informatica provided support for the development of IT project for tax and revenue management
"The Computerworld Honors Program" gave a recognition to a technological project in which the Costa Rican company Grupo Asesor en Informatica was involved.
It is an IT system developed for the Ministry of Finance of Costa Rica, called "New Models of Digital Integrated Tax and Revenue Management", which drew in the category of using technology to benefit society.

The Institute of International Taste and Quality, (ITQI) awarded the Superior Taste Award 2009 to El Indio coffee.
The winning varieties were El Indio Espresso Roast and El Indio Gourmet Coffee Flavored with Hazelnut.

The Green Hotels Group in Costa Rica received the "Corporate Sustainable Trend Setters Award" award handed out by the Rainforest Alliance.
Green Hotels of Costa Rica is a group that is comprised of: "Si Como No Resort - Spa & Wildlife Refuge," "Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel & Nature Reserve" and "Aguila de Osa Inn," which received the “Corporate Sustainable Trend Setters Award," handed out annually by the Rainforest Alliance.

The Candelilla Estate coffee processor was awarded Starbucks’ world prize which features its best coffee suppliers.
This is the second year that the Candelilla Estate has won Starbucks' Black Apron Exclusives award; 2005 was the first time it won. In addition to the fine reputation that it obtains in the coffee world through this recognition, Starbucks gave the coffee processor a $15,000 prize.

The Central American Commission for Environment and Development (CCAD), the environmental body of the Central American Integration System (SICA), rewarded the company for its clean production processes in brewing.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR YOU AND PANAMA TO HAVE WON THIS AWARD? As human beings, it is difficult for someone not to be proud of receiving any award. But in my case I have always known that I represent an organization made up of more than 9500 persons. These are 9500 Panamanians who are share one work spirit in a company which means a lot to our country. This is a prize for all the workers at the ACP, and for the country.
