A proposal issued by the National Congress for Construction in Costa Rica, suggests building high rise accommodation on sites where infrastructure already exists.
A press release by the Costa Rican Chamber of Construction reads:

El Salvador's 'Casa para Todos' scheme supported by president Mauricio Funes will be relaunched on 9 September with five new projects.
With financing coming from the People's Housing Fund (Fonavipo) and the Social Housing Fund (FSV) the five new projects will provide 942 homes for which construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2011.

It is called ‘Paseo de las Casas’, it is located in the province of Coclé and includes luxury residences and a golf course.
Construction of the first phase has already begun, comprising 4 apartment buildings. As for the golf course, it will feature 18 holes, and is expected to cost $18 million.

Commercialization of residential areas at economic area Panama Pacífico will start on January 2010.
125 duplex residences will be built in the first stage, out of the total 20.000 planned for the project.
"Construction of the first buildings in the industrial area started in November. They are storage centers or 'flexi-warehouses' for corporate usage".

The Salvadoran company has three new projects in El Salvador, where it will build housing and divide entire areas into lots.
Inversiones Bolívar projects comprise 469 blocks. Diego de Sola, CEO, announced that while the projects haven't started yet, everything is planned and en route.

Unlike previous years, Housing Expo Panama (April 2 - 5) will focus on the national real estate market.
It is a fact that million-dollar developments will be presented at the expo, but most of the building projects will be directed to the local market with houses that cost less than $150 thousand.

The Miramar and La Hacienda housing complexes, both located 20 kilometers from the road to the La Libertad port, have brought development to the area and some inhabitants from the surroundings have had the opportunity to obtain direct employment, said Ruth Hasbun, Marketing Manager at the Roble Group. In fact, the company currently employs 140 persons directly for construction as well as for security services and zone maintenance.

Grupo Poma is planning to begin construction of 3,000 homes in the San Martín area of El Salvador within the coming months.
Including other projects already underway, Poma expects to have built and sold 18,000 new homes by next year.
Poma's Grupo Roble real-estate development unit is in charge of the projects.
